Operating Instructions

Modular Snap‑Lock & Magnetic Retention System

JOAT 2.0 adopts spring‑loaded snap‑lock paired with industrial‑grade magnetic array. Modules self‑align and lock firmly with zero‑play, zero rattle. Quick tool‑free swapping supports personalized configuration.

1. Module Installation & Swapping Press the spring‑loaded snap‑lock, align the module into the main frame, release the snap‑lock until you hear a crisp click. Built‑in magnets assist positioning to hold modules securely. To remove: depress the snap‑lock, pull the module out directly. No screwdriver or extra tools required.
2. Replaceable Blade Operation Install the #11 replaceable blade for sharp cutting and slicing. For air travel, detach the blade module completely. With blade removed, the tool meets TSA‑compliant requirements for airport carry‑on.
3. Built‑in Core Tool Functions

• Pry Bar: Heavy‑duty flat pry tip for prying tasks, pulling nails, emergency scraping. Avoid excessive lateral force or over‑prying beyond mechanical limits.
• Bottle Opener: Effortlessly open beverage bottle caps.
• Hex Wrench Holes: 4.2 mm, 6.6 mm, 8.3 mm, 10.3 mm openings for common hex nuts and bolts.
• Nail File: Textured surface for nail grooming, deburring and smoothing rough edges.
• Spoke & Sawtooth Wrench: For bicycle spoke adjustment, light sawing and emergency cutting.
• Magnetic Screwdriver: Hidden magnetic compartment holds 4 mm standard S2 steel bits for secure retention and fast bit access.
• Bracket Hole: Can be used as temporary mobile‑phone stand when matched with compatible module.

4. Optional Add‑on Modules (Sold Separately) Optional modular ruler, eternal pen and precision tweezers set can be snapped into the main frame to expand your EDC capability.
5. Tritium Vial DIY Slots (Optional) Five reserved slots fit 1.5×6 mm self‑glowing tritium vials (tritium vials not included). Installed tritium components must comply with local laws and regulations of your region.

Maintenance & Care

GR5 Titanium Alloy Main Body

Wipe titanium surfaces with a soft dry cloth for daily care. For oil stains and grime, use a slightly damp soft cloth then wipe completely dry. Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners, these will scratch and damage the CNC‑machined surface finish. Titanium may develop natural patina after long‑term use, which is normal material behavior.

Snap‑Lock & Magnetic Mechanism

Keep sand, lint and debris out of snap‑lock joints and magnet contact surfaces. If swapping becomes stiff, clear away accumulated dirt first. Do not apply oil or grease to magnetic contact areas.

Blade & Consumable Bits

#11 blades and S2 screwdriver bits are wearing consumable parts. Replace blades when dull; swap screwdriver bits when worn. Clean metal cutting surfaces after use and keep dry to reduce corrosion risk.

Optional Add‑on Modules

Treat ruler, pen and tweezers modules gently. Avoid dropping or bending precision tweezers tips.

Safety Warnings

⚠️ The replaceable blade is sharp. Keep fingers clear of cutting edges during installation, removal and operation to prevent cuts. ⚠️ For air travel, fully remove the blade module before placing JOAT 2.0 inside carry‑on luggage to satisfy TSA regulations. ⚠️ Do not apply extreme lateral force on the pry bar. Over‑prying, heavy hammering or leverage beyond design limits may bend or break modules. ⚠️ Magnetic components inside may interfere with pacemakers, credit cards and magnetic storage media. Keep proper distance. ⚠️ If you fit aftermarket tritium vials, abide strictly by local legal restrictions. ⚠️ Keep this multi‑tool out of reach of young children.

Lifetime Warranty

The GR5 titanium main frame of JOAT 2.0 is covered by lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended usage.

Items NOT covered by warranty:

1. Normal daily wear, minor cosmetic scratches and natural titanium patina that do not affect tool functions.
2. Damage caused by drops, heavy impact, over‑prying, hammering and abusive misuse.
3. Deformation or breakage of modules from overload beyond design limits.
4. Consumable components: replaceable #11 blades, screwdriver bits, optional pen refills.
5. Damage triggered by user disassembly, aftermarket modifications or self‑installed tritium vials.
6. Bending or tip damage to optional precision tweezers from improper force.
